Domingo "Ray" Gonzales

Domingo was preceded in death by his brothers, Manuel, Rosalio, Paul and Victor.

Domingo proudly served as a Technical Support Specialist for Maricopa County Adult Probation for 14 years and retired in 2013.

He wore many hats and was a self-taught musician, butcher, telecommunications technician, and baseball coach who loved to serve others. He loved to be out-of-doors, camping, fishing, gardening, cooking and most of all, family gatherings.

Domingo was a husband of 57 years. He was a classic and determined man that lived life on his own terms and will be missed by all of those that he touched.

Domingo is survived by his wife Mary Helen Gonzales, his sons Valentin “Val” Gonzales, Vincent Gonzales (Kathy), and Christopher Gonzales (Araceli), sisters Lucy Alvarez, Mercy Perez (Richard), Henrietta Salazar, Irene Gonzales, brother Joe Harold (Frances), 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 800 N. Central Ave, Goodyear, AZ 85338, with a viewing at church being held one hour prior. Domingo will be laid to rest at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
