He grew up in the small town of Surprise, Arizona with his siblings whom he is survived by: Tony, Fred and Christina Hernandez. Danny spent his adventurous childhood playing sports and pranks with his family as well as many neighborhood and lifelong friends. He was known as the “life of the party” because of his hilarious and lively personality that could make anyone laugh. Danny attended Dysart High School and belonged to the DHS football team and woodshop, two of his favorite past times. He began his working life as a cook in many restaurants and later became an accomplished residential and commercial plumber.
He began his legacy when he wed his childhood friend, Maria Solis Hernandez whom he is also survived by, spending 33 strong years beside one another and raising their four children. Three sons Daniel Jr, Tony & Johnny and his only daughter Erica, survive him along with three grandchildren Aaliyah, Bella and Daniel III.
He was a proud and protective family man who always put his family first and brought everyone together for his famous backyard barbeques that he filled with great food and humor. In his later years he built a beautiful garden and play yard filled with flowers and trees for his family to enjoy. He wasn’t only a wonderful Dad, Grandpa, Husband, Brother, Uncle, and Son but most importantly a true friend to every member of his family.
Danny left behind many loved ones who will forever carry on his legacy. His one of a kind personality and wisdom will never be forgotten. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 5-8pm at West Resthaven Funeral Home 6540 W Northern Ave in Glendale. A celebration of life will be held the following day on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 10:00am also at West Resthaven Funeral Home.
