Bertha, 94, passed away on May 24, 2018 in an assisted living home, after a long bout of dementia. She moved from Corning, NY to Phoenix, AZ in 1955 with her husband John and son William. Bertha was hired as a phone operator in Corning in 1946 and she retired as a technical assistant with Mountain Bell (Quest) in Phoenix in 1985. She is survived by her son, William J. Andrade of Glendale, AZ, a niece, Patricia and nephews, Elmer and Rodney of Elmira, NY, along with a host of extended family members and friends. A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 9 AM followed by funeral service at 10 AM, both at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ. Bertha will be buried at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, beside her beloved husband John J. Andrade, who passed away in 1981.
