Wilma Rowene Ritchie May Nichols

A visitation will be held from 10-11 am Wednesday, August 8th, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 am, both held at D.W. Newcomer’s White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone MO 64119. In lieu of flowers, Rowene's family knows she would appreciate contributions in her honor to Evangelistic Center Church Building Fund, 5400 Johnson Dr., Mission, KS 66205.

Rowene was born on January 18, 1923 in McLouth, KS, she graduated from East High School in Kansas City, MO.

She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her six children, Peter P. May Jr.; her second husband, Otha “Nick” Nichols; daughter, Diane Simpson; grandson, Casey McCroskie;

great grandson Ryan Turner, her parents William H. & Rena Denny Ritchie; & brother, Rev. William L. Ritchie.

Survived by her children, Barbara McCroskie (Jim) of North Kansas City, MO, Peter P. May, III (Teri) of Smithville, MO; Jan (Bob) Turner of Smithville, MO; Laurie Allen of Parkville, MO and Jon May of Northlake, Texas; 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 9 great, great grandchildren.

Rowene was a faithful member of Evangelistic Center Church, Kansas City, MO, for over 45 years. Her main desire in life was to show the love of Christ to all who knew her and to see all her family and friends come to know Jesus as savior. She loved to worship the Lord and was a true prayer warrior. She loved to bake cookies and cakes and share with all who knew her.

She will be greatly missed by all.
