I have just learned of Bills passing.  Bill would know me as Marvin,(my middle name). We worked together on the LA Division and Stockton Division. We both held the same titles working for the Union Pacific. I have many memories of Bill as we not only worked together, but we were friends. Distance eventually led to our seldom contact. May I extend my belated condolences to his family and please forgive me for loosing contact with Bill. Just the other day I thought of him and sent an e-mail, but no response, so I started to search the web.
May the Good Lord Bless his family and I can say Bill and I laughed often while we were together in such places as Yermo, Sacramento, Stockton, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City and Omaha. I will always remember "Bill", my friend.

Uncle Bill,  You have always been larger than life to me, kind and ready with a bear hug.  I was in awe of your adventurous spirit and for running head on into all of your dreams.  I always saw Papa and Grandma in your welcoming laughter and the way you were a friend to all.  You gave me much comfort at a time in my life that was lonely and difficult.  I was so proud when you came to the train yard in Denver and everyone seemed to know you , and you told everyone to watch out for me- and they did.  I hope that we all make you proud and continue your generous and intrepid spirit. 

There were so many memories Bill you were not only a great neighbor but and wonderful friend. We have alot of wonderful memories of Sigma Drive in Rawlins Wyo. Raising our children ,building fences,planting lawns,Sunday Breakfast over at Grandma and Papa's house ,the block parties and just hanging out with friends and family,  You will be missed and my prayers go out to your family . Janis I didn't know you but you are a very special person if Bill chose you to be in his life he always chose the best . Prayers and hugs to your family .

Janis,  I like to remember when Anne met me in Omaha then called you two to met us in Old Town at the spaghetti works. Dinner was good, beer was cold but the the friendship was better. He will be missed!

Many, many years ago, Mr.  Bill.  We all had such large parties, both block and Jaycees.  It was a grand time.  You will be missed.   I will keep your secrets too. 


So many memories, where to begin? You took us fishing. You made the best sangria, threw fabulous parties and you loved to dance. You taught us to combine maracuya with papaya, you always had a good gin on hand when we dropped in and never failed to show us a smile.  You were always willing to lend a hand and you wanted everyone to get along. You loved your wife deeply and enjoyed life to the fullest. You were a man of decency and integrity and we will never forget you. Hasta la vista, Mr Bill. You were our close friend and we loved you.  💔
