Born on December 19, 1958 to Ed and Beverly Funk in Omaha, NE, Vicki graduated from Park Hill High School in 1977. She married Tray Blust on May 26, 1984, and had one child, Lindsey Blust.
After high school she worked at Kmart, where she began several lifelong friendships and even met her future husband. After she and Tray married and started a family, Vicki ran a photography business out of whatever space was available in their home; attic, basement, or garage. To this day people fondly remember those moments captured in Vicki’s studio when they were younger. Vicki also spent a great amount of time volunteering at Lindsey’s elementary school, and at Synergy, where she would spend a couple nights a week working with kids. She was also asked to help aid an elderly couple so they could stay in their home, and later worked as a restaurant manager. She excelled at whatever she put her mind to.
Vick was a wonderful and compassionate person who never knew a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone while waiting in line at the grocery store. She made it her mission to care for any stray animal she encountered when she was a child, or to befriend whoever she felt needed it most whether they knew it or not. Her persistent positive outlook on life was infectious to those around her. Vicki always supported her friends and family in their passions and through their hardships. Everyone who knew her was better because of her, and she changed more lives than she ever knew.
Vicki was preceded in death by her mother Beverly Funk and sister Joyce Feraci.
She is survived by her husband Tray, daughter Lindsey, father Ed Funk, sister Sheri Stewart, brother Larry Funk, nephews Hunter Funk and Matthew Feraci, and niece Alexa Feraci.
