He was born on October 6, 1942 to Carl T. Cox and Lucile E. Krokroskia, in Leavenworth, KS.
Melvin worked as a Customer Service Agent at Continental Airlines for 35 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Edward Irick.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Cox of 55 years, his Brothers Calvin Cox, and Marvin Cox, Sister Claudia
Rieber, his son Michael (Patricia) Cox of Belleview, Washington, two grandchildren Cameron Cox and Phoenix Cox.
