Judy was born January 30, 1957, in Ottawa, Kansas to Robert and Jean Dawson. Her family would later move to the Kansas City area in July of 1967, and she has call KC home since then. Judy was a graduate of North Kansas City High School with the Class of 1975.
In December of 1977, she would get married to Mike Campbell and together they would start their family and adventures together. Judy worked for the University of Kansas Medical Center as an office assistant retiring in 2020. She thoroughly enjoyed seeing and truly loved the many faces she worked with as well as those folks enjoyed seeing her.
Judy enjoyed working on puzzles and reading love novels written by Nicholas Sparks. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, and really looked forward to Saturday dinners with family where she hosted but let everyone else do the work!
Judy was truly at peace and in a happy place in her life after retirement when she could spend time with her husband, Mike as they enjoyed watching the KC Chiefs, KC Royals, and NASCAR races as well as just being together and loving life.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Robert “Bob” Dawson and her in-laws, Peggy Bower & John Campbell.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mike; her daughters, Chrissy (Patrick) and Mindy (Aaron); her mother, Jean Dawson; her siblings, Rick (Shelley) Dawson and Debbie Dawson; grandchildren, Haylee, Austin (Alyssa), Noah; future great grandson enroute, Adien; nieces and nephews, Emily and Zach; and the Campbell side of the family who she loved so much.
