Emily was born September 21st, 1977, in Kansas City, Missouri to Harvey E., Jr. and Sue L. (Lewis) Raymond.
Emily traveled the Northeast and Midwest with her parents, making homes in Reading, Pennsylvania, Memphis, Tennessee, Fort Worth and Spring, Texas, Omaha, Nebraska, and Kansas City, Missouri. She was united to her eternal companion on October 15th, 2005, at the Winter Quarters, Nebraska Temple.
Emily attended Ridglea Hills Elementary and Western Hills High School in Fort Worth, Texas and Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She later earned the Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Graceland College in Independence, Missouri. She worked at several hospitals until finding her calling as a hospice nurse. She felt that helping her patients transition from this life to the next was a beautiful process. When she became sick, she knew she wanted to be cared for by the same service she had worked for. The professionals at Kansas City Hospice were wonderful to Emily and eased her passing into the next life.
Emily was a precious daughter, a kind and loving wife, and the best mother to her three boys. Everyone she met felt better for knowing her and her only regret was leaving her loved ones behind. Through her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she was absolutely sure that she will be reunited as an eternal family to her husband and sons.
Emily was preceded in death by her father, Harvey E. Raymond, Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Matt; her mother, Sue Raymond; her children, William, Blake, and Kieran; her mother and father-in-law, Kathi and Dale Robinson; sisters-in-law, Stacie (Ben) McCall, Meghann Nichols, and Ana (Tony) Gonzalez; and her nephew, Nicholas McCall.
