Donna was born on April 25, 1933 in Tacoma, WA to Donald and Greta Deane. She graduated from high school and cosmetology school. After moving to San Diego, CA, Donna married Oliver Duncan on May 5, 1956 in Yuma, Arizona, near where he was serving in the Navy at that time. Over the next 13 years, the couple welcomed two children into their home and moved from San Diego to Kansas City, MO in 1965, where Oliver took a job with TWA. Donna’s children remember her as a very caring, dedicated mother who encouraged them to participate in many various sports and activities, always being there in support as they pursued their goals. Donna was a beautician for about 35 years. Those who knew her speak of her thoughtfulness, loyalty, classiness and nurturing ways.
Donna was an only child, preceded in death by her father and mother, Donald and Greta Deane.
Donna is survived by her husband, Oliver Duncan, and children, Gina Marie Duncan and Mark and Janelle Duncan, as well as her grandchildren, Alyssa and Tyler Duncan and Cody Smith.
The family would like to thank many of Donna‘s attentive caregivers at McCrite Plaza and Northland Rehab for the way they could bring a smile and lift her spirits.
