He married his grade school sweetheart, Wanda Lou Sharp on March 15, 1957. They welcomed 3 wonderful children. Chester worked as an Optician and made eyeglasses. He retired from US Safety. He had a great passion for fishing at Smithville and Pomme De Terre lake. His children remember him as a humble, kind and gentle soul. He had a great big heart as deep as the ocean and dearly loved his siblings, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Chester was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda of 66 years, his parents, a brother Eddie and a sister Carole.
He is survived by his sisters; Alice, Sarah and Judy. By his children; Gary (Nancy), Mike (Monica) and Rhonda (Jeff) six grandchildren; Jason (Sarah), Brett (Colette), Courtney, (Solomon), Lara (Jeremiah) Sara (Elliott) and Anna (Joey). Six great grandchildren Brylynn, Cora, Brecken, Aurora, Breece and Roland with one on the way along with many other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kitchen Ministry at the First Baptist Church, North Kansas City.
A celebration of life for Chester will be held Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE ANTIOCH RD, GLADSTONE, MO 64119.
