Bessie was born on January 28th, 1935 in Cash Arkansas to David and Dorothy Jordan.
Our Mom was a kind, beautiful, humble and tireless soul. She had a contagious smile that was sometimes met with an ornery twinkle in her eyes--but always in the best way. She wasn't scared to live or love. Mom dedicated her life to her faith and her family. Her devotion to both reigns true even throughout her great-grandchildren's lives.
She sewed our clothes, grew our veggies and canned everything she could from her garden. Our meals were farm to table before it was a craze and her apple butter was second to none!
Everything she did looked effortless whether it was waitressing or successfully running a business. So many decades of hard work and she still had time to make sure our drawers were straightened and our home was tidy.
In her and Carl's retirement years, they made more time for quilting together and watching sports. She loved football, basketball and baseball most of all. Once her gardening days were over, Carl kept the vases full of fresh cut flowers from his flower beds for Mom to enjoy. Bessie Fagan, aka: mom, grandma, and great-grandma, lived a full life of family, faith, love and laughter.
Bessie is preceded in death by David and Dorothy Jordan (parents), Maudie Spurlock (sister), Lallie Blankenship (sister), Thelma Becker (sister), Robert Jordan (brother) and Jake Blacksher (grandson).
She is survived by her husband and love of her life Carl Fagan; her children, Cheryl East, Sue Blacksher (Mike), Cindy Smith (Kenny), and Jimmy Starks; grandchildren, Nathan Blacksher (Crissy), Justin Starks (Michi), Caleb Blacksher (Lindsay) and Tavessa Blacksher (Jake); 8 great-grandchildren, Skyler, JJ, Grace, Korben, Zarina, Jude, Lincoln and Max; siblings, James Jordan, Ginny Worley, Liz Tate and Doyle Jordan.
