Pam,
To echo my sister’s memories, our parents and yours were such great friends. Dad often talked about the fun they all had in Kansas City and especially the famous, “come as you are parties “.     He recently shared with us this one time where your mom and dad came with formal wear on and just cracked everybody up.   Clearly they had plotted for a fun response to those parties that time.   They lived with laughter a lot.     Such great blessings are true friendships that sustain the test of time.      We miss them all, but the memories, I hope in time, will give you comfort.  Prayers and love coming to you, in hopes that you gain some peace.

Pam our parents were friends for over 65+ years by chance. My Dad wanted to get his Masonic medallion made into a ring. He found a jewelry store close to his home in Washington, DC area. He met Alma working at the jewelry store. Through casual conversation Alma asked Dad if he had been to a local Masonic meeting. Dad said no. Alma said would it be OK if her husband, Harold, called him. That started the BEST friendship and one of my Dad’s longest friendships. Full of laughter, love and respect. Aunt Alma isn’t physically here but she lives pain free in our memories and hearts!
