Richard Gordon Walton

It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the passing of a dear Husband, Father, Grandfather and brother Richard Walton on November 6,2020 at the Glace Bay Hospital with loving family at his side, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Formerly of Donkin Ricky was the son of the late Richard and Mora Walton.

Ricky was employed with Highland Fisheries for over 10 Years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 40 and bartended for many years.

Surviving is his loving wife Susan; daughters Victoria Walton (Jonathan), Nicolette Wright (Will) and Haley Walton (Scott); grandchildren Owen Thomson and Isabelle Wright; sister Delores Walton (Tommie); Sheldon Walton (Gail) and Kevin Walton.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters Deborah Walton and Wanda Russell.

In following Ricky’s wishes cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home. A private family service will take place at a later date.

Donations may be made to the Cancer Patient Care Fund at the Cape Breton regional Hospital.
