Butch worked at Cadegans Fish Plant in his younger years. He then followed in his father’s footsteps and found work as a coal miner in #20, #26 and Phalen Mines. Butch and Art both worked in Art’s auto body shop for many years.
A gentle giant and lover of animals, he will be missed. Butch was predeceased by his parents Archie sr. and Adeline, brothers Norm, Archie jr., Albert, Brian, Pat and Billy (in infancy), sisters Shirley, Debbie and Mary in infancy.
He is survived by brothers Wes (Mabel), Art (Felicity Ann) nieces Rhonda (James), Adeline (late Jed) and nephews Nathan (Emily, Kegan and Lenny (Lindsey) as well as other nieces and nephews and Furbaby Lucy (the cat).
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Friday, May 13 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church with Fr. Duaine Devereaux officiating. Inurnment to follow in St. John’s cemetery.
