Born in Donkin, Arthur was a son of the late Wilson and Annetta (Green) kelloway. Arthur was a very proud Devco miner, having worked in no. 26,Phalen and Prince Collieries. He was also employed by Dynatec in Red Lake Ontario in a gold mine.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Jean (Napier), sons, James Arthur (Rhonda McInnis), Glace Bay and Michael Robertson at home. ‘Grampy’ will be especially missed by his grandson and “Bestest Buddy”Keegan James Axworthy ( mother Stacey) and his special grandson, Nathan McInnis and his special mother in law, Mary Napier. Arthur is also survived by his brother, Wilfred (Audrey), sisters, Elizabeth (Kevin) Hooper, Lois (Lloyd) Duhamel, Phyllis (Reggie) Howley, sisters in law; Cathie ONeill, Heather Napier (Donnie Teasdale), Norma Napier (Bruce Pilling) and Debbie Landry. Also left to to mourn are nieces and nephews; Lynnette (Shaun), Alexis, Logan and Liam Howley, Marlene (Robbie), Makalya and Trenton Curry, Kimberley (Nolan) Hooper, Noelle (Jennifer King ) Hooper, Stephen (Jennifer Wilcox) Kelloway and Godson Brent Kelloway, Christopher Duhamel, Kevin and Jennifer Duhamel, Ian and Courtney Landry, Anthony Napier.
Visitation for Arthur Kelloway will take place at Patten Funeral Home on Wednesday March 16,2011 from 6-9 pm. Memorial service will on Wednesday at 2:00 pm in Patten Funeral Home Chapel.
Reception to follow at the Donkin Legion.
In lieu of flowers , donations in Arthur’s memory may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Center or Glace Bay General Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
