Mama
The one you tun to when times are hard. The one you run to when times are good. The one that settles your heart and calms the storms. The one you call for advice on how to be a parent yourself.
Mama was all of this and more! Through all of her hardships, she remained steady, stoic and strong. Nothing kept her down for long and she resonated strength and where withal. She fought so many health battles and she did so with dignity, grace, oomph, love for her family at ut most faith, in her heart. She was a survivor of breast cancer....TWICE. Saw her husband go thru cancer and all three of her daughters. She watched one daughter bury her child. Then a few years later, buried her own. Her faith and tenacity.....obviously, apparent to all that knew her and loved her.
She was a follower of Christ first and foremost. She was Daddy's Queen and a 2nd-to-none Mama to Paige, Tracy, and Beth. Then there is her greatest joy... her grandchildren & her great grandchildren & her great great grandson. Being their Nana was her greatest pleasure! Mama said often has she known grandchildren were so great, she would've had them first! She was also a stellar aunt to her nieces and nephews, along with all of the people she was a bonus Mama or Nana too. To be loved by Mama meant you were well-loved and you knew it.
She was always quick to love, quick to laugh and quick to offer words of wisdom. She taught her family how to love & to love hard. She also taught us grit, strength and faith. We will use these gifts she left us to go forth without her here, but also rejoicing that she is whole and healed and with her loved ones that met her in Heaven.
Thank you Mama for leaving us with your eternal love. We will miss you and love you always. We will carry your memories of you with us in our hearts. We love you forever Mama.
