Bobby Burkett

Bobby was a long time resident of Georgiana, Alabama. He was a beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather. His family was his life. He was known as Pop to his grands and was always willing to take them to the ice cream store as a trade for back rubs and massages. He fussed when they all showed up and fussed if they didn't come. He made friends easy. He was someone you could sit with on the front porch, drink a cup of coffee and oh yes, share a cigarette. His mom, brother and sisters were dear to his heart. But for most in the community he was known as the easy going X-ray guy.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2023 at Ervin Family Cemetery, Georgiana, Alabama, with Johnson Funeral Home directing arrangements.

Mr. Burkett is survived by his Wife: Susan Burkett; Mother: Mylan Stinson Burkett; Daugther: Jessica Burkett Hansen (Justin); Son: Wesley Burkett (Ashley); Grandchildren: Mary Grace Burkett, Bethany Burkett, Kiersten Scroggins, Garrett Hansen, Jacob Burkett, Christian Hansen; Siblings: Susan Lynch (Wayne), Joy Moseley, Jan Pouncey (Roger), David Burkett (Sara); a host of Brother-in-laws & Sister-in-laws, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other Family and Friends.

Mr. Burkett is preceded in death by his Father: Ervin Burkett.
