TJ Chapman

T J Chapman was born January 23, 1927 in Greenville, South Carolina, the son of John and Lela (Jones) Chapman. He passed from this life December 1, 2021 in Round Rock, Texas at the age of 94. T J had lived in the Austin area since 1969, moving here after retiring with 25 years of faithful service to the United States Army. After his retirement he began his career as a data processor for the Veterans Administration. T J was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing his guitar.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Margaret and his siblings, Wade, Garland, Edward, Clarence, Harold and Vera.

He is survived by his children, Ronny Chapman and wife Laura, Russell Chapman and wife Caroline, Joanie Burkett and husband Lee, and Billy Chapman and wife Amy; grandchildren, Jonathan, Sherri, Jennifer, Tyler, Race, Kimberly, Cody, Leeann, Olivia and Julia and great-grandson Drake.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas, 78628. Graveside services with full military honors will follow at 3:00 pm at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, Texas 76542.
