Michael James Brennan, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed into eternal rest on November 4, 2022 at the age of 75. Mike was born on December 3, 1946 in Borger, Texas to James and Edna Jenkins Brennan. Mike attended University of Texas and Stephen F. Austin and graduated with a degree in Forestry. He served in the US Army as a Military Police Officer and Company Clerk. After his military service, he worked for Louisiana Pacific and retired after a long career as Forestry Manager. After his retirement from LP, Mike started his own business, Texas Timberlands, with business partner and dear friend, Jerry Watson.
Mike was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, golf, hunting, and waterskiing. He was an excellent marksman, once winning first place in his company shooting tournament. He also rediscovered billiards at Sun City, working out, and all things sports, especially his beloved Dallas Cowboys. If there was any kind of ball involved, Mike was watching it.
Mike never met a stranger and he loved his family immensely. He had a playful sense of humor and never missed an opportunity to make everyone laugh. He loved to cook and spent many evenings grilling for his family and friends.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Cindy Brennan, his son Kevin Brennan and wife, Helen, his daughter Amy Brennan Larison and husband, Winston, and his son Ryan Brennan and fiancé Carey Marts, sister Alana Brennan Green, and husband, Jimmy, 4 delightful grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
