Jim honorably served in the U.S. Air Force, where he demonstrated his commitment to duty and country. His time in the military was marked by a steadfast dedication to excellence and teamwork, traits that he carried into his civilian life.
He retired from American Airlines, where he worked in Fleet Services for 25+ years. He enjoyed his family, socializing with his friends, playing dominos, camping, and gardening. He always kept busy with handyman tasks around the house and helping out his friends whenever possible.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Nenita; son James "Mike" Lambert (Bernadette); grandchildren Shawn and Kevin; daughter Melinda "Mindy" Stephens; son Kenneth "Ken" Lambert (Farnaz); grandchildren Aranaz and Lilanaz. Sister Betty Madsen (David).
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Shela Mae and John D. Lambert, as well as his siblings William "David" Lambert, Edna Myers, Simmon Lambert, Merle Carpenter, John W. Lambert, and Ollie Andrews.
Jim will be remembered for his strong sense of duty and his profound impact on his family and community. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A visitation for Jim will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 State Highway 195, Killeen, Texas 76542.
