Mennie was born on June 1st, 1937 in Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico to her parents, Eutemia Carrizales Sarabia and Ignacio Ramirez. She grew up the youngest of six children - Luz, Jose, Miguel, Ramon, and Augustina, who have all preceded her in death.
She is survived by her two sons, Alex and Joe Reynaga, both of Georgetown.
Mennie came to the United States in the late fifties and settled in Georgetown a few years later. She met her future husband, Pete, in a laundromat in the heart of downtown Georgetown and began dating a few years later. They were joined in holy matrimony on July 28th, 1962. They were married for 52 years before his passing on November 13th, 2014.
Guillermina worked at the Wesleyan Nursing Home on Scenic Drive as a housekeeper from 1978 up until her retirement in 2003.
The Reynaga family would like to thank Altus Hospice of Georgetown for their dedication and affection shown to Mom these last few months of her life. Kudos to: Brooke, Ashton, Maria, Erika, and Sonia and a big thank you to their chaplain, Jonathan.
Another dedicated family member who came from Dallas to help out was her sister-in-law, Carmen Cantu, who was with her the whole time.
Mennie loved to spend time with her family, including her 10 year old Chihuahua dog, King. She was an avid plant lover, indoors and outdoors, and she loved to cook anything and everything that included items with chili - beans, rice, Mexican food, and making homemade tortillas.
Mennie enjoyed being around other people from church, her former job, or anyone else she'd meet along the way, including her nieces and nephews.
