George Henry Hobbs Jr. 81, of Georgetown, TX, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012. He was born to George Henry Hobbs and Loretta DeSale Hosman of Peabody, MA. He graduated from Vesper George School of the Arts in Boston, MA. From there at a young age of 21, he drove out to California and worked for the aerospace industry, Lockheed Corporation – Skunks Works. George enjoyed his California days driving around in his brand new 1960 convertible Corvette. A few years later he met the love of his life Alfreda Wodarczyk, they fell in love, married and started a family,
He was a loving and devoted husband and father who enjoyed taking his family on trips and vacation. George made everyone laugh and smile all the time. He had a kind and understanding nature. He was hardworking working and enjoyed working in the garden and had a beautiful talent with painting on canvas.
George leaves behind his wife, Alfreda; sons, George Henry III, William and James; daughter, Maryann; daughter-in-law, Janet; his granddaughter, Shylie, the apple of his eye; sisters, Madeline Davis and Dolores Gray of Beverly, MA; brother-in-law, Chester Wodarczyk and wife Therese of Chicago, IL; seven nieces, three nephews and two predeceased nephews, Sunny Davis and Mark Wodarczyk.
George will be truly missed. He was the most loving and devoted husband of 47 years, the best father, the best brother and the best uncle that anyone could ask for who was always there for his family. I love you Honey with all my heart. We love you Dad.
