Darius Deshawn Johnson, age 20, passed away on July 4, 2016, from a fatal car accident in Georgetown, Texas. He was born on July 28, 1995 to LaSonda Bester in Vicksburg, Mississippi
He was a graduate of LBJ High School, class of 2014, where he excelled on the basketball team from 9th - 12th grade. Basketball was his passion from the Bulldawgs to the Jaugars. If you wanted to see him smile, put as basketball in his hands. Currently, he was employed by Rent-A-Center.
Darius is survived by his mother, LaSonda Bester and step-father, Allen Blackburn both of Georgetown, Texas; sister, Tommisena Bester and brother Tommy Bester, Jr.; grandmothers, Shearl Johnson-Davis and Brenda Beamon-Garrett; grandfather, Gregory Garrette; and girlfriend, T'Lexus Brandon of Austin. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nephew and cousins.
The family is grateful for everyone that has comforted them including the communities of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Austin and Georgetown. They are also grateful LaSonda Bester's employer and for Darius's friends and employer.
