Tony Lee Ferguson, 70, of Belmont passed away peacefully at home on Saturday July 8, 2023. Tony is the son of the late Collen (Ledford) Ferguson and Troy Lee Ferguson. Tony was born February 21, 1953 in York County, SC. Tony enjoyed doing historical family research and going to family reunions. He was a technician at Pharr Yarns until his retirement after 20 years of service. Many will miss Tony.
Tony is survived by his sisters, Vicky Hersey (Mike), Robin Griffin (Allen), Dixie Lambert (Carl), Meleia Griffin (Thomas) and Trudy Vaughn, as well as brothers, Jimmy Ferguson, Troy “Dean” Ferguson and Jerry Ferguson. He leaves behind numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service celebrating Tony’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday July 12, 2023 at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia. The family will receive friends one hour before the service beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will immediately follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park.
