Helen "Sis" Faye (Poole) Brandenburg

Helen Poole Brandenburg “Sis” age 76 (1942-2019), passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday April 20th at 8:25pm. Helen was known for her love for family and others before herself. Never will you meet a kinder soul.

Helen was preceded in death by her father and mother, James M. Poole and Jeanette Usery Poole; and sisters, Brenda Langford and Ida May Chandler.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jimmy Brandenburg; Daughter, Lisa Sigmon and husband Keith. Son, Billy Brandenburg and wife Karen. Granddaughters: Leslie Smith and husband Josh, Terra Brandenburg, Nicole Brandenburg, Misty Brandenburg and Brittany Brandenburg. Great grandchildren: Morgan, Alex, Jonathan, Kylie and Carlee. Brothers and Sisters: Alice Brockman and husband Mack, Terry Poole and wife Rhonda, JL Poole and wife Barbara; along with many nieces and nephews that she loved so much.

A celebration of Sis’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday April 24, 21019 at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia. The family will receive friends at 10:30 AM before the service. Active pallbearers are: Josh Smith, Keith Sigmon, Terry Poole, Eric Fisher, Denny Davis, Jimmy Poole and James Poole. Pastor Robert “Bobby” Hildebrand will offer words of encouragement and hope to those that gather to remember Sis. Committal and burial will follow the service in the Four Seasons Garden at Gaston Memorial Park.
