Alice Robinson Rudisill

Alice Faye (Robinson) Rudisill, age 81, went to her forever home on July 17, 2023, at Peak Resources, Gastonia. Mrs. Rudisill was the daughter of the late Kathleen (McCarter) Robinson and Roy Russell Robinson.

Mrs. Rudisill was a long-time employee of the Gaston Gazette, where she retired. She was an active church member, having taught children’s church Sunday School, assisted in the nursery, and was a choir member. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Alice had a love for classical music and as senior adult, Alice learned to play piano at Gaston School of the Arts and was a member of Sharps and Flats Music Club.

In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Jack W. Rudisill, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Jack W. Rudisill III (Rudi), and his wife Debbie Lewis Rudisill of Dallas, NC, grandson, Adam Dean Untz (and wife Heather) of Wilmington, NC, granddaughters, Rachel Rudisill Morrison (and husband Nathan) of Dallas, NC and Ragan Rudisill Collins (and husband Jacob) of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by sister, Marlene Robinson Edge, two brothers, Gordon W. Robinson and John D. Robinson, 1 niece and 3 nephews.

The family plans a graveside service and committal at 11:00 AM on Thursday July 20, 2023 at The Veteran’s Garden of Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 South New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC. Pastor Dickie Spargo, of City Church, will officiate. Her pallbearers are Rob Collis, Nathan Morrison, Jake Collins, Brad Walters, Chris Long and Steve Black.
