W.F. " Bill" Barron, age 96 was born on July 31, 1927, passed away peacefully at home surround by his family on March 22, 2024. Fondly and widely known as "Bill", he was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, and even achieved the status of Great-Great Grandfather. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Teeny Godwin Barron; son ,William A. Barron; grandchildren, Trent Barron (Niki), Staci Green (Luke), Whitney Carver (Corey); great-grandchildren, Hunter Barron (Gwen), Jayla Jackson (Noah), Aiden Barron, Gracie Miller, Crimson Green, Selah Green, Channah Green, Emilee Carver, and Eli Carver. Bill is also survived by a host of Nieces & Nephews.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Rondle M. & Myrtle B. Barron; brothers, Rondle B. Barron, George Barron; Sisters, Thelma McCrary, Virginia Stewart.
Bill attended and graduated from Ensley High School, Class of 1945. That very same year he enlisted in the United States Navy, and proudly served his country until 1947.
Upon his honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, he attended Massey Business College where he earned his Bachelor Degree in Business Management.
After graduating college, Bill went to work for National Cash Register Corp., and proudly served in his various roles for 43 years before retiring.
Bill was a proud and devoted member of Mt. Vernon (now Hope Church) for more than 80 years where he was a member of the choir for 50+ years, as well as a Sunday School Teacher. Chairman of the Men's Stewards Board.
Bill was a devoted Member of The Scottish Rite of Freemasonry as a 32* Master Mason with the Valley of Birmingham Lodge.
Bill's greatest joy was Jesus and his family & he spent his entire life devoted to making sure they were taken care of at every moment, while also making sure they had a relationship with Jesus. His presence will be missed in this earthly world, but we rejoice in knowing that we will soon be reunited with him one day soon in Heaven.

Services will be March 27, 2024 @ Ridout's Gardendale Chapel. Visitation will be at 1:00pm for friends & family. Service will follow directly after at 2:00pm. Interment will be private for family at Highland Memorial Gardens, Bessemer Al.
