Wallace O Hudson

Wallace Oscar Hudson of Gardendale, AL passed away Tuesday evening, July 31, 2018 at the age of 87. He was a graduate of Lamar High School in Vernon, AL. He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be greatly missed. Mr. Hudson retired after 28 years of service as Sales Manager of Buffalo Rock and was a member of Good Sheperd Lutheran Church in Gardendale. He loved to fish and enjoyed watching Alabama and Auburn football, and playing golf. He was preceded in death by his son, David “W.D.” Hudson; parents, Oscar and Penny Hudson; his brothers, Guthrie Hudson and James Hudson; and a sister, Mattie Lee Mitchell. He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 67 years, Willodene L. Hudson; a son, Greg Hudson (Sharon); grandsons, Abraham and Ezra Hudson; great granddaughters, Mary, Eleanor, Iris, Hannah, and Haley Hudson; and many loving nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 3 PM with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens with Pastor David Moerbe officiating.
