Age 67 of Mt. Olive, AL passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015. Sharon was a lifelong resident of Fieldstown, AL. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved by all who knew her. Sharon was a gaming enthusiast and enjoyed playing with grandchildren and adopted grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Dean Hodges, Bobby Hodges, and Louise Fields. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Warren Wayne Kurtz; a son, Mark Kurtz; her daughters, Shellie Kurtz (Beth Greene) and Frieda Cargo; a brother, Kenneth Hodges; her grandchildren, Grant Kurtz, Eric Kurtz, and Caroline Kurtz; and special grandchildren, Gannon Cargo, Brendan Cargo, Lala Rodriquez, Ben Rodriquez, and Danielle Rodriquez.
A visitation will be held on Monday, Monday March 9th from 5 until 8 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel. Chapel funeral services will be held onTuesday beginning at 11 AM and followed with internment Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale. )
