Ruth Files, age 97, was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Tarrant, AL. She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer Files and a son, Marion Files (Lou).
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Dykes (Buddy); brother, Herman Cooner, grandchildren, Mark Dykes, Keith Dykes, Lyn Files (Denise), Susan Hitt (Randy), and Karen Jones (Eric); great grandchildren, Randi Lynn Kilgore, Noah Hitt, Michael Jones, Rachel Jones, Kelly Jones, Brooke Files, and Tyler Files; great-great granddaughter, Blakelee Kilgore.
Graveside service in Files Cemetery, Townley, AL on Monday, Oct 19th at 11:00am, family will gather at 10:30 to greet friends. Family request memorials be made in her honor to the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 2127 Hill Dr, Tarrant, AL 35217.
