Ruby Lee Cox

Ruby Lee Cox was born in Morris, AL on January 1st, 1919 and passed away peacefully on May 26th, 2016 at the age of 97. She was raised in Morris and Blount County; AL. Ruby lived for the last 15 years on Lake George in Cullman. She was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church in Blount Co.

Ruby was preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, Roy Lee Cox; parents, Emma and Tom Hill; and 9 siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Terry) Campbell; three granddaughters Tara (Neal) Underwood, Julie (Cody) Berger, and Caroline (Mark) Culwell; great grandchildren Tate and Sara Underwood; Micah and Zachary Berger; Tyler, Evan and Carter Culwell; one sister, Lola Jolly and one brother-in-law, Greer Perryman; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family extends special thanks to Regina Lyle who lovingly cared for her in her last days and Hospice of Cullman for their support.

Services will be held on Sunday, May 29th, 2016, at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a visitation to begin at 1:00 PM Sunday; funeral service at 2:00 PM followed by her burial in Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Hayden, AL.
