Peggy Walters Bryant

Peggy Walters Bryant, age 83, of Gardendale, Alabama passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, August 9, 2022. Peggy was born March 12, 1939. When she closed her eyes here she opened them in Heaven and was greeted by her loved ones in her eternal home.

Peggy was a member of Pineywood Baptist Church and she worked for over 50 years and retired from AAA Cooper after 30 years of service. She was a loving and caring Wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she will be greatly missed.

Peggy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, James Robert Bryant, Jr. and her parents, Robert Ell and Betty Walters.

Peggy is survived by her loving daughter, Teresa Sims of Gardendale, AL; one sister, Jo Carolyn Gaertner (William) of Williamsburg, VA; one brother, Robert Ell Walters, Jr. (Martha) of Pinson, Al; grandchildren, Heather Sims of Gardendale, AL and James Alan Sims (Charity) of Gardendale; great grandchildren, Colton and Jordan, and a host of family and friends.

A visitation for Peggy will be held Friday, August 12, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM, and she will be laid to rest in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
