Mary Murphree

Mary Murphree, age 90, of Morris, Alabama passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Mary was born September 21, 1931 in Blountsville, Alabama to parents, Luther and Lillace Graves. She was married to the love of her life, Bill Murphree, and they enjoyed numerous adventures throughout their marriage and shared this life until his passing in March, 2015. They enjoyed nothing more than traveling the country's back roads and viewing the beautiful scenery of God's beautiful creation. She was very active throughout her lifetime in her church and loved the Lord and her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Murphree, her sister Sarah Woodard, her brother Luther Graves, Jr., her daughter Kathy Calvert, and her very special grandchildren Tommy Sims and Melissa Oglesby. She is survived by her loving family, daughter Karen Stanford (Barry); son Mike Murphree (Tina); her pride and joy grandchildren, Alex Sims (Heather), Shane Oglesby (Debbie), Justin Murphree (Sherry), Faith Smith (Wesley), J.D. Calvert, Erin Bell Taylor, C.J. Bell (Celeste), Jessica Schrader (James), and Jacob Vick; and her very special great grandchildren, C.J., Aaron, Riley, Taylor, Maddie, Wyatt, Braxton Cole, Macy Blake, Liam, Sean, Keanan, Braxten Clay, Brenton, and Menalee; and very special kids next door for many years, Robin and Joe Thrailkill.

A visitation for Mary will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A burial will occur at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Royal, AL.
