Luann was born in Selma, Alabama on April 11th, 1953. She graduated from Walton High School and continued on to receive a Music (Vocal and Piano) degree from Florida State University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.
Luann was married to Grant Hobart on July 20th 1974. They were married 38 years.
Luann loved playing the piano, singing, and participating in worship any time she had an opportunity; as well as creating opportunities to do so. Luann was passionate about mentoring young women, especially young wives and mothers. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Luann was an active member of Church the Highlands. She served on the Prayer team, Ministry team, and lead small groups. She served as a leader for the women at the Fultondale Campus.
Luann is survived by her brother, Tommy Jones (Annette). Her children, Hobie Hobart (Valerie), Haley Jones (James), and Abigail McQuin (Sean). She is also survived by her sister-in-love Nora Travieso (Julio). Luann has 15 grandchildren~ Mollie, Emerson, Jones, Lazarus, Atticus, Teague, Zeke, Kelsey, Luke, Samantha, Fiona, Lula Mae, Judah, and Royal.
Luann is preceded in death by her husband Grant, and her parents Cleve and Annie Jones.
A celebration of Luann’s life will be held at the Church of the Highlands Chapel Friday April 12th at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Tyler Vinyard will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. also at the Church of the Highlands chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Pensacola Dream Center
