Louise Skelton was born in Memphis, Tennessee on Friday, January 29, 1915 and passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013 a resident of Gardendale, Alabama at the age of 98.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents Julius A. and Ada Cadden Robbe and her husband of 45 years Fred O. Skelton and great-grandson, Jackson Duke.
She is survived by her son, Steve R. (Janice) Skelton and daughter, Margo Skelton; her grandchildren, Laura (Bobby) Roberts and Pam (Jeff) Duke; great-grandchildren, Bo, Jimmy, Thomas and Kathryn Roberts, Merrilea and Garris Duke; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Louise was a lifelong member of Gardendale First Baptist Church and she was always faithful to her Christian teachings. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Library Fund at Gardendale First Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel in Gardendale, Alabama with a visitation from 12 noon until service time.
