Linda lived in St. Louis until graduation from Riverview Gardens High School. She then moved to Alabama to be near her sister. She met the love of her life and married Roy Driver on June 7, 1975, at Walker Chapel United Methodist Church in Fultondale, Alabama. Linda had multiple jobs until starting her career at Walmart. She worked there as a Department Manager over Domestics until she retired in 2021.
Linda enjoyed going to the lake on weekends and loved to go to Gatlinburg and the beach with her family. She loved her two dogs, Ally and Arly. She was a loving and caring mother to her two special needs children, Michael and Roy. She also loved her daughter Amanda; they enjoyed going to the movies and shopping. She was a faithful and devoted member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, in Gardendale, She loved going to Bible study with the Owls group and to the Woman's Bible study group on Sunday evenings.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Roy W. Driver; her father, Paul Fogel; her mother, Lola Delashmit; a brother, Steven Strong; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Reverend Roy and Mary Driver.
Linda is survived by her sons, Michael Driver and Roy Driver of Mt. Olive; her daughter, Amanda (Mark) Adams of Mt. Olive; sisters, Donna Brady, Terri (Dan) Duer, Michelle (Miles) Bruner and brothers, Gary (Marelle) Fogel and Jason Delashmit, all from Missouri; and a handful of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2456 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL. A time of visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Pastors David Moerbe and Ed Brashier will be officiating.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Linda's memory.
