Howard Albert McSpadden

Howard worked for 40 years with American Cast Iron Pipe Company (ACIPCO). The last 25 years and until his retirement in 1996 was spent in the Research Department.

For many years Howard enjoyed bowling along with his wife on the ACIPCO Bowling League. He was an enthustic Bama fan, camper, and loved going to the beach, time spent outdoors and travrling with family and friends in his RV. Howard loved God and family and gave the best bear hugs.

Howard was preceded in death by his father Hillary Albert McSpadden and his mother Mary Edna Lee McSpadden; son Galan Howe McSpadden; sisters Anne Salyers, Doris Vaughan, and Marion Parker (Neal) and his brother Doug McSpadden.

Howard leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Kathy McSpadden; daughters, Margaret Anita Wood (Randy), Mary LaClaire Crouch (David), and Kimberly Anne Nicodemus; sisters Norma Chambers, Katye Heffner, and Jean Honeycutt; eight grandchildren, Oueda Hogeland (James), Ryan Crouch (Leanne), Maranda Wood, Adam McSpadden, Austin McSpadden (Breean), Ashlee McSpadden, Christian Kent (Tyler), and Dylan Nicodemus; eight great-grandchildren, Clay Hogeland (Rachel), Bryce Hogeland (Kendall), Bree Claire Phelps (Jacob), Ty Crouch, Makiyah McSpadden, Tori McSpadden, Alexis McSpadden, and Aiden Tortorici; two great-great-grandchildren, Maizee Hogeland and Heidi Hogeland; many other family members and friends.

A visitation for Howard will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
