Harold Tucker Wadsworth, age 83 of Bradford, Alabama entered fully into the presence of the Lord on February 28th. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many and will be missed by all.
Tucker was married to Pat Wadsworth for 64 years. Several years after their wedding he dedicated his life to Christ, and together they established a home deeply rooted in faith with their three children. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and long-time member of Hughes Memorial Baptist Church. For many years you would find him on the front steps of the church, giving smiles or hugs as he greeted congregants. You would also find him there serving as a long-time Deacon, or anywhere else he could be of service to the church.
In his early years, he enjoyed racing cars and boats and used the skills he learned to find his career as a mechanic. Tucker loved the outdoors and greatly enjoyed hunting. Enjoying God’s outdoor creations and bird watching was a favorite pastime in his later years.
Tucker, also known as Papa T, will be missed greatly by his loving wife, three children, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Tucker is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Mamie Wadsworth, his siblings, Eugene Wadsworth, Inez Askew and Charles Wadsworth, and his beloved grandson, Jonathan Reid. He is survived by his wife, Pat Wadsworth, children, Tammy Reid, Hal Wadsworth (Kathy) and Brian Wadsworth (Diane), his grandchildren, Lauren Self (Lance), Kevin Reid (Courtney), Meagan Secrist (Nathan), Chris Wadsworth (Megan), Michael Wadsworth (Madison), Sarah Wadsworth and Leah Wadsworth and his great-grandchildren, Laci Self, Lynleigh Self, Luna Reid, Baby Reid (due April), Elliot Secrist (due March), Camille Wadsworth, Mason Wadsworth and Daniel Tucker Wadsworth, and many nieces and nephews.
