Gloria Jean Andrews

Gloria was a member of the Oakgrove Freewill Baptist Church where she faithfully served the Lord and she cherished her church family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Julius T. Pilkington and Geraldine Pilkington; her loving husband, Jerrell Andrews; a daughter, Jill Andrews; two brothers, Julius Pilkington and Jerry Pilkington; and two sisters, Joyce Gentry and Judy Gibson.

Gloria is survived by one daughter, Janice Butts and her husband Tom Butts, one brother, Ricky Pilkington and his wife Pam Pilkington; two sister-in-laws, Brenda Scott and Jorene Carroll; two grandchildren, Todd Butts and his wife Jessica Butts and Matt Butts and his wife Kelli-Ann Butts; five great grandchildren, Connor Butts, Karis Butts, Luke Butts, J.T. Butts, and Logan Butts; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of dear friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Thursday, September 12, 2019 with a time of visitation to begin at 1:00pm; service at 2:00pm followed by her entombment in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Mausoleum, Gardendale, Alabama.
