Born and raised in Warrior, Alabama. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known for her quiet, gentle soul and deep devotion to the Lord and her family. Geraldine’s love for her family was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Geraldine enjoyed reading the Bible, Journaling, drawing, putting together puzzles and observing nature and outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Theros and Sylvia Theros Poe; her son, Jeffrey Stovers; Jeffrey's twin sons, Derrick and Jeffrey Russell Stovers; her brother, Charles Theros and her brother, Billy Theros; and her late husband, Charles Earnest and her late husband, James Ray Stovers.
Geraldine is survived by her son Barry Stovers (LeAnn), her brother Larry Theros (Judy), her brother Billy Theros' wife, Kathy Theros; her grandchildren: Tabatha Lambert (Dustin), Brooke and Autumn Stovers; great-grandchildren: Sebastian and Enzo Lambert and also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom were dear to her.
A visitation for Geraldine will be held Monday, November 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
Geraldine will be laid to rest in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, AL 35071.
