Lucille Eloise Mason Moman “Nana”, was born in Elora, TN on January 18, 1929 and passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2013 at the age of 84. Eloise was retired from BellSouth. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. A devout Christian, she was very unselfish in giving her time and talents to her friends and community. She served with Telephone Pioneers of America, Fultondale Senior Building, and the Gardendale Civitan Club. She was a long time and faithful member of the New Georgia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Moman; parents, Wm. Forrest and Rosa Lee Mason; brothers, Johnnie “Red” Mason and L.B. Mason. She is survived by her loving family, sons, J. David Moman (Cindy), William E. “Ernie” Moman (Sally), Michael D. Moman (Pam), and Barry E. Moman (Kelli); grandchildren, Jeremy (Nadine), Josh (Amy), Corrie (J.D.), Jessica, Ellen (Evan), Justin (Karlee), Sarah, and Nathan; great grandchildren, Noah, Louis, Piper, Millie, Jonah, and Naomi; sisters, Marie Ray, and Peggy Nash; sisters-in-law, Louise Moman, Levern Neely, Ester Moman, Dean Mason, and Dot Wilson (Vernon); and a host of family and friends. A special thanks to the staff and friends at Covenant Place and Evercare Hospice.
A visitation will be held Thursday, September 5th, 2013 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 6 until 8 PM with a chapel funeral service for Friday, September 6th at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Thomas Graves will officiate the service.
