Born August 23, 1923, went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2011 at the age of 88. She was an early graduate of Hillman School of Nursing and continued her career as a Registered Nurse at U.A.B. Hospital. Cora was also a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Morgan Jennings; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters. Cora is survived by her son, William “Bill” Jennings (Tawnya); daughter, Laura Orlando; grandchildren: Krissi Orlando, Kali McGruder, and Eric, Paul, and Michael Jennings; great grandchildren: Caden and EmmaLee McGruder and Riley and Abigail Jennings; and her brother, Rev. A.M. Cagle. Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, with funeral services on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 11:00 am with interment in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
