Christopher Charles White, 36, of Gardendale, Ala., passed away unexpectedly Christmas Eve, 2023. Christopher was born October 12, 1987 in Cleveland, Tenn., to Crystal Hindman White and Vardaman William White (Worawan).
Christopher graduated with a degree in English (Technical Writing) from the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB). Prior to transferring to UAB, he attended The University of Alabama where he was an active member of Sigma Pi Fraternity, Theta Omicron Chapter. He graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School in Morris, Ala. He worked for the last several years as a proposal manager in government contracting and was awarded more than 100 million dollars in contracts. Christopher thought of himself as the director of family fun, planning game nights and dinners, and initiating group conversations among family members in three states. He was known for his sense of humor, empathy, and love for Iowa, where he lived as a child. He was quick to love, quick to forgive, and quick to encourage. His family is devastated to lose him, but know they have hope in Jesus to see him again.
In addition to his parents, Christopher is survived by his brother Robert Vardaman White (Asma), grandfather Robert White (Adelia), uncle Rick Hindman (Kathy), aunt Alisa White (Elliott), aunt Michelle Hindman and several cousins. Christopher was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles A. and Virginia Shelton Hindman, grandmother Kathryn Shires White, and uncle David Earl Hindman.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Christopher’s life in a memorial service Thursday, January 4 at 11:00 a.m. Central Time at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale,\ AL In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to JDRF (formerly Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) or Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
