Carolyn, a resident of Gardendale went home to be with the Lord at the age of 76.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Verbon and Alene West and her loving husband of 56 years, Joseph S. Spears, Jr.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Charles Spears (Lisa); daughters, Lynn Good (Dean), Connie Tidwell (Phillip) and Jo Carol Swann (Jerry); brothers, Frederick West (Judy) and Mackie West (Jean); sisters, Helen O’Nell, Nell Shellgrove (Raymond) and Martha Uptain (Alan); 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, numerous other family members and a host of friends.
Visitation will be at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Thursday; March 12, 2015 from 6pm untill 8pm. Funeral service at Enon Baptist Church in Morris, AL, where she was a member, on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11:00am followed by her burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale, AL.
