Bessie Dean Morgan

Bessie was a long standing member of Gardendale First Baptist Church. She loved flowers and gardening was a long time member of the Magnolia Garden Club. She had a sweet and generous heart and was always devoted to her family, her faith, and her friends.

Bessie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Albert T. Morgan; her daughter, Susan M. Otts; granddaughter; Andrea Morgan; parents, Samuel M. and Gener Corkren Thacker; eight siblings, Loribelle Medders, Rita Mills, Leburn Thacker, Clifford Thacker, Carl "Beau" Thacker, James Thacker, Ralph Thacker, and Samuel "Junior" Thacker.

Bessie is survived by her son, Terrell Morgan and his wife Phyllis; sisters, Joyce Reach and her husband Charles and Betty Turner; four grandchildren, Kristi Otts Fines and her husband Adam, Brian Otts, Amy Morgan, Ashley Harper and her husband Adam; four great grandchildren, Salihah, Chloe, Morgan, and Maggie; many other family members and a host of friends.

A graveside service for Bessie will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 11:30 AM at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, Alabama 35071.
