JoAnn Regina Steinman

JoAnn Regina Steinman was born on December 2, 1938 in New Rockford, North Dakota, to Regina and Friedrich Dockter. She was a fraternal twin and one of 6 siblings. She had 3 brothers: Marv, Vern (Bud) and Don; and 2 sisters, Violet (Vi) and Jean, her fraternal twin.

She attended New Rockford High School where she graduated in 1955.

JoAnn met her then husband, Vernon Joseph Steinman, at a pool hall in New Rockford. They were married shortly after. Together they had 4 children: Mike, Mark, Gina and Jerri. She loved animals and had 3 pets who were also a part of the family. She had Dutches, a German shepherd, Sam, a cockapoo, and Happy, a terrier mix.

They moved to Simi Valley, California in 1959, then Lakewood for short period of time before planting roots in Cerritos, California in 1969.

She spent most of her career working as an EKG technician at Pioneer Hospital in Artesia.

JoAnn loved Jesus with her whole heart. Her unwavering and unshakable faith was noticed by all. She had a compassionate love and desire for all to know and put their faith and trust in Jesus. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and willing to share the gospel with everyone. She planted seeds in her children and grandchildren that will be passed down from generation to generation. Her legacy will always remain.

She spent most of her time in God's Word and in prayer, not only for her family, but for all she came in contact with. She loved deeply and wholeheartedly. She will never be forgotten.

She passed away peacefully on December 30th, 2024, surrounded by family.

She is survived by 2 children, including 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.

She is missed greatly.
