Freddie Dewitt Carter

Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the age of 69. Freddie was born in Bryan County, GA on August 23, 1945 to Walter L. “Papa” and Gladys “Mema” Carter.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his sister, Sarah L. “Sis” Carter Pich.

Survivors include his sons, Bruce Carter (Wendy), Mike Britt, Sr. (Sandra); daughter, Doris Hall; brothers and sisters, Walter “Bud” Carter (Nancy), Maryann Clayton (Terrell), James “Coon” Carter (Sharon), Ray Carter (Ruth), Linda Aldrich (James), Tommy Carter (Mary), Ralph Carter (Ressa), George Carter (Hazel Clark); 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Visitation: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the Fairhaven Funeral Home – Garden City Chapel.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in the Chapel of the Fairhaven Funeral Home – Garden City Chapel with Rev. Kenny Harrelson officiating.

Burial: Mount Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery in Fleming, GA.
