William Adam Bardelang, 58, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at home in Gahanna. He was born January 15, 1956 in Columbus, OH to Adam and Nancy Bardelang; brother to Bob (Kim), Bryan (Lilly) and Brent (Sue) Bardelang. Bill graduated from Walnut Ridge High School in 1974 and he attended The Ohio State University. He started Bardelang’s Driver Service, Global Driver Resources in 1997 and worked his driver business passionately to his last days on Earth. He married Deborah Wiley in 1977 and they had 3 children, Ryan (Tara), Justin, Amy (Josh). He married Julie Bardelang in 1998 and he is father to Britney (Denton) and Luis. He traveled to Honduras in 2003 and was dramatically changed by the children of Oasis de Amor. They captured his heart and developed his love for others. That love grew into a 7 ½ year adoption process. Bill’s determination was instrumental in bringing Luis home. He enjoyed playing golf with his buddy Mario Baldassarre. He loved to wear his Steeler gear on football Sundays and enjoyed Columbus Crew games with Luis and family. He enjoyed getting dressed up and going out for date night.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown RD. (at Beecher RD.) Gahanna, where the family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of service. Pastor Jim Zippay officiating.
