Tim was an amazing husband, father, and friend who is survived by his wife, Anita, children Kathleen (Flanagan) Kinney and Maureen (Flanagan) Billisits, and grandchildren Alex and Leo Brudny and Ethan, Elli, and Emily Billisits. He is also survived by his brothers Terry, Dennis, and Mat; his sister Teresa; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Tim was preceded in death by his mother and father, Bob and Lee Flanagan and his brothers, Mike and Brian Flanagan.
Tim’s interests included NASCAR, cars, politics, and cooking. But his favorite thing to do was to spend time and raise a glass with friends and family. Quick with a smile and heart-felt greeting, Tim never met a stranger and was an engaging conversationalist. In his later years he enjoyed preparing big feasts for his friends and family. He enjoyed socializing and had a host of good friends who enjoyed his company. Tim was always considerate of others and never hesitated to help a friend or family member in need. And he was always caring for those who lost loved ones, were alone, or down on their luck.
He was immensely proud of children and grandchildren, but especially his wife, Anita. His friends and family always knew the latest goings on and careers of his children and grandchildren. He was there for all of us for advice, counseling, or just to lend an ear. He also enjoyed discussing politics and did so quite enthusiastically!
Tim had a long career in electronics sales and was a Marine Corp Veteran of the 1st Marines, 3rd Battalion.
To the very end, he always put the needs of his wife and children first. He was always concerned about how everyone else was doing rather than himself. He was compassionate, highly intelligent, and tough…and he will be missed so very much.
